Beekman Residence Restoration
Financial District, New York, NY, 2023This project was executed in the Beekman Residence, a condominium building adjacent to the Beekman Hotel. The unit previously experienced some demolition works. Beyond Building Inc. was asked to restore the unit to its original build-out, a task that required lots of forensics from images and salvage materials.
This project’s unique challenge was in restoration with custom fabrication based on limited information and working within the logistical system allowed by the Beekman Residences and Beekman hotel. Through salvaged hardware, images, cabinet parts, stone parts, and even electronics parts, we were able to confirm the existing models, dimensions, paint color, systems, and construction methods, we were able to return the unit to as close to the original as possible. This unit embodied the excellence of living in the old financial district at the center of the world, thus Beyond Building Inc. went about this project as usual: to be as accommodating to the staff, quiet, clean, and professional as possible.
